A state beach is five minutes away so if shellfish is your desire, you can try your hand there, licensing and state rules apply. Also at the state beach, is a public boat launch. Linger Longer Cottage has potential for parking your small boat and trailer on the property.

The cottage is nestled in the middle of two other homes that share this amazing low-bank property. Because there’s no water or beach view from the cottage, it keeps it affordable for you, while just a walk around the owner’s home provides direct beach access to beautiful Quilcene Bay on Hood Canal. On approach, you’ll see the nice patio and BBQ area out front where you can enjoy your meals and time together outside.
The main entry leads into the kitchen and living areas which are open and large with cathedral ceilings. The kitchen has a beautiful large capacity stainless fridge/freezer as well as one under-counter smaller stainless fridge for drinks, appetizers, and easy access. The kitchen also features a full stove/oven and dishwasher, a perfect sized corner dinette, and a nice pass-over/bar counter with two barstools.
The living area is lovely and spacious with a nice sofa and recliner with a flat screen tv and DVD player. The air conditioning unit is located in this open area for maximum efficiency. A ceiling fan helps circulate air as well. Also, there’s a vintage standing 3 Wonders arcade game. Adjoining the open area is the bathroom with double sinks and a large shower.
The Master Bedroom is closest to the bathroom and features a king sized bed with beautiful bedding. A full-size washer and dryer are located in the closet. A sliding glass door opens to the patio area.
The Guest Bedroom features two queen sized beds also with beautiful bedding, a flat screen tv with DVD player and a nice roll top desk. French doors open to the patio area.
This home was renovated with an emphasis towards wheelchair accessibility. No stairs. The floors are all smooth with the exception of an area carpet in the living room. The entry points have a lip at the threshold. There are handrails on the walls of the bathroom and in the shower. Also, a folding shower seat is installed on the shower wall.
